Our Policies

Booking: Please see our AirBnB or VRBO pages for booking inquiries. After checking availability, you can also book directly with us at info@RefugioPasoRobles.com; we will ask you to sign a standard short-term rental contract, provide a scanned copy of your driver’s license, and fill out your credit card details in lieu of a damage/security deposit (we have never had to charge anyone; this is just a safety measure to protect our small business). 

Check in and Check Out: Normal check-in is approximately 2PM, unless you arrange a different time with us prior to your arrival—we are very flexible. One of us will meet you upon arrival and run through a few helpful tips for your stay. If you arrive after 6PM, you may gain access to your suite with a key code, depending on our availability. Usual check-out is by 11:00 AM.  

Minimum Stays: There is a three-night minimum stay at all times. Rental fees are discounted for more than 7 days and deeply discounted for stays of more than 28 days. The locally-mandated Transient Occupancy Tax, 10.5% is not payable on stays of 28 days or more. Please contact us for details: info@refugiopasorobles.com.

Cleaning and Disinfection: We have implemented additional steps beyond our past cleaning procedures to ensure the safety of our guests, our cleaning staff, and ourselves. Bath and bed linens are washed at the maximum temperature.

Pet Policy: Well-behaved dog(s) totaling a maximum weight of 40 pounds will be welcome with a one-time $60 cleaning fee per pet.  * Please provide a (ideally, glowing) “reference” for your dog(s) from a validated AirBnB host, VRBO host, or other bed and breakfast host. 

Children: Refugio is not ideal for children under 12. When renting the Refugio Kitchen/Great Room with your suite(s), a double fold-out sofa may be used by one or two small people; sleepers on the fold-out will have night-time access to the adjacent powder room but must share bathing facilities with either the Barn or Oak Suite. 

Smoking: Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. We will charge a minimum $500 cleaning fee if smoking has occurred either indoors or outdoors (where the fire danger is extremely high).

Cancellations: Please see our AirBnB or VRBO page for cancellation policies. If you book with us directly, we will ask you to adhere to the same cancellation policies and sign a standard contract committing to do so. We strongly advise all guests to secure trip insurance. 

Occupancy: All rates are single or double occupancy.
