After checking availability, you can also book directly with us at info@RefugioPasoRobles.com, to avoid the new, higher service fees.

Refugio is a contemporary Spanish-style guesthouse, a peaceful retreat, and a place to wind down at magic hour. Refugio boasts two state-of-the-art suites, each with private deck and fire-pit (and mini-bar). Indulge your inner chef in the fully-equipped teaching/catering kitchen and expansive patio overlooking two and a half acres of pasture, with two 300-year-old oak trees.

The spaces may be configured in several different ways, to suit culinary-focused visitors to our wine country, and/or those who just want a serene spot for reflection and a base for exploring the region. The two completely separate and private suites at Refugio can comfortably accommodate one or two single(s), one or two couple(s), and family or professional groups. The lounge area of the kitchen/studio boasts a queen-sized pull out sofa equipped with lush linens and pillows; a folding carved wooden room-divider provides added privacy.

Sheets are Italian, wi-fi is strong, and bathrooms boast heated tile floors, comfy bathrobes and lush towels, locally-sourced products, and high-end fixtures.

You will not find any televisions here. Instead, the Oak Suite has a huge oval bathtub and wood-burning fireplace; the Barn Suite a spacious, double-headed shower, large and sheltered deck, and a wall paneled with old barn wood.

We have been long-time vacation home renters, and always looked for homes with two equal suites, so we created the ultimate two-suite home, and threw in total luxury and complete privacy for each suite. A complimentary bottle of Paso Robles wine awaits you at this 'Bed and Bottle' in Wine Country.

Extras:
Private Catering Available:
Subject to availability, a private chef may be available to cater dinner for one to ten in the Refugio kitchen/studio, using recipes from Refugio owner Brigit Binns' book, "The New Wine Country Cookbook: Recipes from California's Central Coast," or any of Brigit's other 29 published cookbooks on subjects ranging from steak to polenta to the West Coast's best road food, and more. The menu will be tailored to your taste, the size of your group, and the wine(s) you plan to drink with the meal. Prices begin at $250, plus the cost of ingredients.

Concierge Services:
Our local, trusted friend Ronda (ex Hollywood food/prop stylist) creates absolutely stunning cheese/charcuterie/fruit  boards, and will deliver to Refugio before your arrival, or anytime. She also offers concierge-style services. Ronda can: secure hard-to-get reservations, create itineraries, source birthday/anniversary cakes, decorate for a special event, and/or pre-stock the fridge with your own list of basics and goodies. Basically anything a top hotel concierge might do to make your stay seamless--and more! Hourly rate with a two-hour minimum per day. Please contact her directly: Ronda@BespokePaso.com.

Various different Farmer’s Market Boxes of fresh seasonal vegetables, fruits, and eggs—as well as local cheeses and charcuterie—are available from Harvestly.com, a fairly new hyper-local delivery service started by two Cal-Poly students. Delivery can take place prior to your arrival or during your stay. If your box comes to our house instead of "yours," one of us will bring it down to Refugio
